Eighteen plus years in Winston-Salem classrooms taught me to explain things plainly and listen before I talk. Turns out that is most of this job too.

Hi, I'm John!

I have spent over eighteen years teaching Elementary PhysicalEducation in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system before I ever sold a house. Two decades of working with families in this community, and it shaped how I do this job: listen first, do not rush anyone, and pay attention to what someone actually needs rather than what is easiest to sell them.


I care more about the people than the paycheck. Everybody says that, so here is what it means in practice. If a house is not right for you, I won't hesitate to consult with you about it. If waiting six months puts you in a better position, I will tell you advise you of that too, even though it could cost me. I would rather you come back to me in ten years than close on something this month that you regret.


I am born and raised in Winston-Salem and based in Winston-Salem, but I work all over this area — Winston-Salem, Davidson County, Davie and all the towns in between. I have worked in a lot of cities and counties around here, and my license covers the whole state, so if you are moving somewhere else in North Carolina, I can still help.


Text me and you will hear back the same day. Evenings and weekends are no problem for showings — most of the people I work with are juggling a job too.

We start with what your week actually looks like — the commute, the budget, what you need this house to do for you. Then we go look. I will tell you what a house needs before you fall for it, and I will tell you when one is not right, even if it is the fifth time I have said that.


SELLING

A plain-English walkthrough of the number, the timeline, and the short list of things worth fixing first — plus the longer list that is not worth touching.

Not into a house. Home. That means I will tell you when one is wrong for you, and when waiting six months puts you in a better position, even though it costs me the sale. I would rather have you as a client for twenty years than for one closing.


I ANSWER

You will not get left on read. Text me, call me, email me — you hear back the same day. And if I do not have the answer yet, I will tell you that rather than going quiet on you. Wondering whether your agent got your message is not something you should ever have to do.
